Football season may have ended, but brunch season is very much still ON! The Auburn-Opelika area has a variety of local restaurants that offer brunch.

Acre

Only three blocks from Toomer’s Corner, Acre is located in the heart of Auburn. Enjoy the views of the on-site gardens and orchards while delighting in a Barbequed King Salmon or Duke’s Chicken Salad. Brunch is available on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Amsterdam Cafe

Amsterdam Cafe, located on Gay Street in Auburn, holds Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The menu has local lunch favorites, such as the Crab Cake and Avocado Sandwich, along with twists on breakfast classics, such as the El Benedict. Bottomless Mimosas are $15 and Bloody Marys are $5.

Ariccia Trattoria – A•T

Ariccia Trattoria, a local Italian restaurant in the Hotel at Auburn University, offers a brunch to remember for guests and locals. Brunch is a combination of their specialty breakfast, brunch and lunch a la carte items. Mimosas, Bloody Marys and specialty cocktails are all $5. This brunch is only offered on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Café 123

Located in the heart of downtown Opelika, Café 123 serves Southern and Continental cuisine with a hip, vintage ambience. Start off brunch on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Deep Fried Chicken Skins, served with Louisiana Hot Sauce Honey. Other main entrees include a Breakfast Sandwich, Shrimp Po’Boy and Pecan Chicken and Waffles.

The Depot

Located in a historic, renovated train depot, this brunch impresses locals on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Indulge in the Grand Marnier French Toast, with white chocolate whipped cream and strawberries, or lunch signatures such as the Gourmet Gumbo Pot and the Maine Lobster Sliders.

Hamilton’s On Magnolia

Hamilton’s has Sunday brunch with a large variety of options, ranging from a Fried Chicken Biscuit, to the Sensational Spinach Salad, or Hamilton’s signature Shrimp and Grits. Sunday brunch is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Hound

The Hound, located in downtown Auburn, offers brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. From homemade Jalapeño Pepper Jelly, to Granola French Toast or scratch biscuits smothered in sausage gravy, The Hound never fails to please.

Tacorita

Notorious for their tacos, Tacorita is located on College Street, and offers brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. What beats a breakfast taco? They also serve breakfast burritos, build-your-own omelets and Huevos Rancheros. Mimosas are $4.

Zazu Gastropub

Located in historic downtown Opelika, Zazu is a fine dining experience with a relaxed atmosphere, offering Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The menu contains savory choices like Steak and Eggs, or the Breakfast Enchilada. The short-stack pancakes appease any sweet tooth with a vanilla butter and maple syrup.
