The locAL market is a non-traditional retail space that gives local makers and artists a platform to show their work in the heart of downtown Auburn! The locAL market is hosted by artist, Lauren Duncan and sponsored by J&M. It is a convenient opportunity for Auburn shoppers to buy handmade products, shop produce from farmers markets and support local businesses.
The goal of the locAL market is to bring makers together, provide a platform to tell their stories and share their personal process of creating, in hopes to encourage community and inspire creativity. Market vendors include Lauren Duncan, Loyal Stricklin, Emma Jane Designs, George’s Farmers Market and many more!
“I want the Auburn community to see how special our city is because of all the talented people in it,” said Duncan. “Instead of purchasing items from people across the globe, I hope presenting makers in this setting will educate Auburn about what all is available right here.”
The locAL market will be hosted on the second and fourth Saturday of the month, with the next dates being March 11 and March 25. The market is located at 127 S. College St.
