Bark in the Park, an annual event celebrating responsible dog ownership, takes place on Saturday, March 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kiesel Park. The free event is open to dog owners and their favorite four-legged friends.
The event includes a variety of vendors attending such as veterinarians, groomers, pet sitters and more. Vendor applications for this event are still being accepted.
The PetVet Animal Health Center will provide microchipping at the event. In addition, there will be pet products on sale, dogs available for adoption, door prizes, face painting, a doggy photo booth and even five-minute pet portraits that can be purchase for owners to enjoy.
Dogs can participate in the Hound Hunt, which is an activity that allows them to hunt Easter eggs filled with dog treats. Owners during the Hound Hunt can purchase shaved ice from Kona ice and Chicken Salad Chick.
The contests and the Doggie Olympics is hosted by the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and it includes a $2 charge per event to benefit TUSVM. The schedule for the contests and Olympics is as follows:
