The Auburn-Opelika area is proud to be the bi-annual host of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s state championship football games. Held in Auburn University’s beautiful Jordan-Hare Stadium every other year, the event brings the best 12 high school football teams in the state of Alabama to face off for the title in their respective divisions.

Over 50,000 fans attended the 2010 series, and the event brought over $1 million into the local economy.

The Auburn-Opelika Tourism Bureau started working in 2008 to bring the event to Auburn, in partnership with Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama where the event will be held every other year. The next schedule date for the Super Six at Jordan-Hare Stadium is December 6-7, 2012.
