Pumpkin Time

With the leaves changing colors and the temperatures dropping, what could be a better way to spend a beautiful Fall day than visiting one of our local pumpkin patches? The Farmer in the Dell Pumpkin Patch, located off Wire Road, has been in service for 9 years and was recently recognized on the blog for Lifestyle & Travel’s25 Pumpkin Patches in Alabama You Need to Visit This Fall”. At the Farmer in the Dell Pumpkin Patch, you get to pick your pumpkin straight off the vine. You can also enjoy the Hay Bale Play Area, the Hay Ride, picking sunflowers, playing with the farm animals, and so much more. You can find more information on their website auburnpumpkinpatch.com.

Mark your calendar for October 28th and enjoy Auburn University’s 28th Annual Pumpkin Carve. This event, hosted by Auburn University’s College of Architecture, Design and Construction, will take place on Dudley Hall's courtyard. The carving begins at 9 a.m. and the judges will determine the winner at 6 p.m. The pumpkin carving contest is for students only, but is free and open to the public. We encourage you to come and enjoy watching the courtyard glow with more than 400 jack-o-lanterns!
