Farmers Markets of Auburn-Opelika

1) O Grows Farmers Market 

When: Tuesdays from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. | Location: 1103 Glenn Street, Opelika AL 

The Opelika Grows Farmers Market is located across the street from the Cultural Arts Center on Glenn Street, near the community garden in Opelika. Come walk around the square each Tuesday this summer from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. to find fresh, local produce ranging from heirloom tomatoes to collard greens. You may even find some fresh bread, homemade ice cream, or local honey. Depending on the year's crop, the market may continue through September or until produce is depleted. 2) The Market at Ag Heritage Park 

When: Thursdays from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. | Location: 925 Camp Auburn Road, Auburn AL 

The Market at Ag Heritage Park is an open-air, growers-only farmers market that operates each Thursday, May-August, at Ag Heritage Park on the Auburn University campus. Hosted by the College of Agriculture, the market features area vendors offering fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, herbs, ornamental plants, and cut flowers as well as locally produced jams and jellies, baked goods, soaps, honey, goat cheese and more. The Market at Ag Heritage Park gives Auburn University employees and students and all area residents the opportunity to buy fresh, buy local, directly from the growers. The weekly farmers market is open to the public, and everyone is welcome. It is held rain or shine unless severe weather poses a danger to vendors and customers. 3) The City Market

When: Saturdays from 8 a.m.- 11 a.m. | Location: 1150 S. Gay Street, Auburn AL

Auburn Parks and Recreation invites the community, growers and consumers alike, to join them on Saturdays. The City Market will be held at Town Creek on select Saturdays through August 8th. The market will host local farmers, growers, and artists to sell their produce and products. To stay updated and the weekly vendor list visit their City Market Facebook page. 

 

4) Parkway Farmers Market

When: Open year-round | Location: 2180 1st Avenue, Opelika AL

Located in Opelika the Parkway farmers market has fresh produce any time of the year. It is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They have seasonal plants outside for sale and flowers in the spring and fall. The market is family owned and includes specials weekly. They have some of the best prices for produce it beats almost every grocery store. Check them out here for more information!
