Roadtrip Ready: Girls Getaway

We think rooftop bars and retail therapy are always the answer!

 Grab your girls and head to Auburn-Opelika for the perfect quick escape. A slew of chic boutiques and sunset sipping on a stylish rooftop over downtown await. Make sure you leave room in the car to bring back all those bags. Auburn-Opelika is Road Trip Ready. 

Day 1:

Check-In- Your resting spot is The Collegiate Hotel. This luxury 40-room boutique hotel in the heart of Auburn is right across from iconic Samford Hall and has the most Insta-worthy view in Auburn!

Lunch Date- Once you’re settled in, head downtown to Hamilton’s for lunch at an outdoor patio just one block from Toomer’s Corner. This locally-owned Auburn fave offers contemporary American cuisine with a varied menu to please every taste. Get your celebration started right by ordering some bubbles! They’re the only thing that makes shopping even more fun.

Shop til you Drop- Next stop, Opelika! Just a short drive away is their historic downtown with a string of adorable clothing and gift boutiques including Studio 3:19 & Oliver Henry, Coveted Closet, and The Gallery.

Sunset Spirit- Time to head back to the CoHo and relax on their sassy rooftop bar. Enjoy a handcrafted martini while watching the sun sink behind Samford Hall. Don’t forget to share your favorite selfie!

Nightcap- When you’re ready to put the day to bed in style, Avondale Bar & Tap Room is just around the corner! Catch a ride in the CoHo golf cart! This cozy spot is home to expert mixologists, great music, and just the right mood for your nightcap.

Day 2:

Brunch- Mimosas at The Hound are the best day starter we know of. We also recommend the signature Huevos Houndcheros and Mama Sue's pepper jelly!

Retail Therapy- It’s been a rough year, so we think at least two sessions of therapy are in order! Therapy boutique and Behind the Glass in downtown Auburn will get mom and daughter on trend for fall.

Pick Me Up- Grab an iced latte and a muffin to go at locally owned, Coffee Cat and close the book on the sweetest trip ever! What will you do the next time you’re Road Trip Ready for AO?
