Bring on the Beignets

Mo’Bay Beignet Co. is coming to downtown Auburn

Grab those Mardi Gras beads because it's going to be a party all the time starting this Friday! Mo’Bay Beignet Co. is coming to downtown Auburn and hosting its grand opening this Friday, March 5.

Mo’Bay Beignet Co. is a small franchise that started in Mobile, Alabama. Tripp Skipper, who is originally from mobile, has lived in Auburn for 15 years and says, “He is just a Mobile guy bringing Mo’Bay Beignet Co. to Auburn.”

Since it will be located in downtown Auburn, Skipper hopes it will be a popular spot for college students. This sweet new addition to the downtown food scene will be open for normal breakfast hours as well as for late-night dining. But these beignets aren't just for students! Skipper says it's the perfect spot for a family day out filled with powered sugar fingers and sweet memories.

The menu is simple and features "just the basics" so you can also enjoy coffee on your way to class or while you're exploring downtown Auburn. The bread and butter of the menu is, of course, the doughy deliciousness of the beignets. Pro tip: Be sure to dip your beignets in one of their sweet syrups, which happen to be original recipes straight from the bay area.

Get those stretchy pants ready to go because you won’t be able to stop eating these deep-fried pastries covered in snow-white powdered sugar. Visit the shop starting Friday at 7:30 a.m. located at 155 College Street.

Follow them on Instagram and make sure to like them on Facebook as well.
