Blade & Barrel Hits the Target With New Axe-Throwing Venue
New axe-throwing entertainment venue opens in Midtown in Auburn

Looking for a memorable addition to your weekend in Auburn? You’re in luck! Blade & Barrel is a new axe-throwing venue opening in Midtown in Auburn on March 25. Axe-throwing is an up-and-coming pastime that is AXE-tion-packed for everyone ages 8 and older.
The grand opening will be a part of Midtown’s “Live after Five” event on Thursday, March 25.
Blade & Barrel is owned by Craig and Katie Miller and Ashley and Lane Minor.
“We want to provide an entertainment venue for the city of Auburn and surrounding areas," said Miller. "We have enjoyed many axe-throwing venues in other cities and felt like Lee County should join the club."
The facility will include nine throwing lanes that are available to rent by the hour for groups of up to eight people. Keeping up with the 2021 digital age, there will be interactive throwing lanes complete with projectors to display customizable objects and games on the target board.
All guests will have coaches that will walk them through the process for a fun and safe experience. “Everyone throws an axe for the first time somewhere… might as well be at Blade & Barrel,” said Miller.
Located in Midtown, Blade & Barrel provides access to free parking as well as nearby restaurants and venues located just a few steps away. After working up an appetite throwing axes, guests can walk over to the Auburn Plaza Bar & Lounge and the Sword + Skillet food truck.
Blade & Barrel will be open to the public Wednesday-Sunday and will host corporate/team building events, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, and other private events through an appointment.

“We take pride in providing a safe, clean, and upscale environment,” said Miller.
As a bonus, Blade & Barrel is BYOB. Guests can rent a cooler with ice to keep their beverages icy cold while they’re “kicking some axe.”
