Fall is here which means Halloween is just around the corner and Auburn-Opelika is gearing up the costumes and candy to celebrate this spooktacular holiday. Check out some of the scary good Halloween events in store this year.
Ninth Annual Haunted Auburn Walking Tour
Every Friday and Saturday night in October and Halloween | Meet at Toomer's Oaks
Join Local folklorist, Paranormal investigator, Artist, and Professional actor Mr. Brandon Stoker (Walking Dead, Zombieland 2), and Accredited historian, Local author, and Paranormal investigator Mr. John-Mark Poe as they lead you through the downtown area recounting 1st hand accounts from people who've experienced genuine paranormal phenomena in Auburn they just could not explain. Get the scoop on several mysterious phantoms such as the haints of old fraternity row, the fiery omen of Hargis hall, and Auburn University Chapel. In addition, you'll also hear about more recent sightings along the way. The early tour begins at 6 p.m., is family-friendly (10 and up), and lasts about 45-60 minutes. The 8 p.m. tour is rated PG-13, is about two hours long.
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Farm
Every Friday and Saturday night in October and Halloween | 929 Co Rd 14
Sleepy Hollow Haunted Farm features three attractions this year; psychopath, clown cabin, and RIP ride. Each attraction is $15 and there is a free petting zoo that may feature camels, alpacas, llamas, and more. Bring the whole family even if they don't intend to go into the haunts. Halloween night is costume night! Come dressed up in a costume and enter to win a costume contest! Take pictures in the photo booth and post and tag on Instagram to be entered. The competition ends at 9:00 p.m. and the winner is announced at 9:15 p.m. Check out their website for more information.
Pope's Haunted Farm

There is terror at every turn at Pope's Haunted Farm. Their three different attractions; Haunted Hayride, Haunted Barn, and Haunted Farm, are $15 each or all three for $40. If you are looking for a good scare you have come to the right place, this farm is far from friendly. Check out Pope's Haunted Farm if you dare, they are waiting for you...

Put on your best costume, grab your friends and family, and go stock up on candy from 5:30 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, in downtown Opelika.
Downtown Auburn Tick-or-Treat

Something spooky this way comes on Sunday, Oct. 31, with the return of Auburn’s annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat! From 6-8 p.m., have a ghoulishly good time at the "Spookiest Village on the Plains." Make plans to join the City of Auburn and the Downtown Merchants Association for this fun and spooky event!
