The Epicurean Experience: an immersive wine and culinary affair

The Laurel Hotel & Spa, along with 1856- Culinary Residence, is rolling out something big: an immersive, luxurious wine and culinary experience. The Epicurean Experience is a well-rounded adventure of the most exquisite food and wine pairings. This three-day event includes an intimate rooftop dinner, wine tastings, and a nine-course dinner at 1856- Culinary Residence that is sure to exceed expectations.
1856’s own Master Sommelier, Thomas Price, as well as other guest sommeliers, will be educating guests on types of wine and what meals they complement best. There will also be wine tastings offered by visiting wine makers.
On the first evening of the experience, there will be a rooftop dinner where guests have the pleasure of being surrounded by beautiful gardens and seeing one of the best views of an Auburn sunset! The second day includes a cooking demonstration and lunch at the Tony & Libba Rane Culinary Science Center provided by expert chefs. After lunch, guests are free to relax poolside, enjoy a spa treatment at the hotel, explore the shops in downtown Auburn, visit one of the beautiful parks in the area, or take a walk on Auburn University’s gorgeous campus. The second evening will take guests on a culinary journey through a nine-course tasting menu at 1856- Culinary Residence. On the last day of the Epicurean Experience, guests will be invited to join each other for a farewell brunch in The Library, an exclusive gathering space just for guests of The Laurel.
