AYP offering more than 100 summer programs

With the end of the school year quickly approaching, many parents are seeking summer activities for their kids that are safe, educational and enjoyable. Auburn Youth Programs offers a variety of daily and residential camps and programs for every interest which give participants a broad choice of activities, the experience of staying on a university campus and an opportunity to learn more about a field they may be interested in pursuing as a career.

Weekly camps begin June 4 and run through July 28 for youth ages 4-18. Participants can choose from over 100 summer programs designed to educate and inspire youth in a variety of academic, athletic and extracurricular endeavors.

“Our programs offer participants the opportunity to further their education and skills while making new friends and experiencing life at Auburn University,” said Jeff Dyal, assistant director of the Office of Professional and Continuing Education.

Auburn Youth Programs was founded in 1976 and operates within Auburn University’s Office of Professional and Continuing Education. With something for everyone, the camps and programs range from aviation to wildlife and offer both commuter and residential options.

The mission of Auburn Youth Programs is to help today’s youth succeed by helping them find their passion, shape their future and become leaders. Offering camps and programs that partner with Auburn’s colleges, schools and departments, Auburn Youth Programs serves approximately 5,000 students from around the globe each year.
