Grab a buddy and head to the Twin Pines Dual Slalom at Chewacla State Park. This exciting mountain biking trail where friends can compete in a head-to-head race was built in the summer of 2018 by Central Alabama Mountain Pedalers, or CAMP. This slalom is the only one of its kind in the Southeast, making it a mountain biker's must-see!
A trip to Chewacla State Park is truly an outdoor enthusiast’s dream. Hiking, biking, spending time on the lake, and basking in nature. Get outside and enjoy the sounds of the plentiful songbirds, look for wildlife, picnic and hammock with your family, or explore miles of trails.

Bluegrass on the Plains 2017

Memorial Day may have come and gone, but he Bluegrass on the Plains is still pickin’ through Sunday, June 4th. Bluegrass on the Plains is a festival hosted by Mathan and Jill Holt at the University Station RV Resort located in Auburn, AL.
The Hotel at Auburn University & Dixon Conference Center has begun extensive renovations to give guests a re-imagined experience during meetings and events at the Hotel’s Dixon Conference Center. The Hotel is adding capacity to the main ballroom, as well as functionality that allows both ballrooms to connect. New technology additions, which include electronic displays outside each meeting room, are being added to keep guests informed on pertinent information related to their event and the hotel.
Christmas is a special time of the year for any small town and the Auburn-Opelika area celebrates BIG! We have Christmas in a Railroad Town, Christmas Parades, Victorian Front Porch Christmas Tour, Santa and more!

Fall is a special time of the year for the Auburn-Opelika community. Although the weather is still warm, schools are back in session and football season is just a few weeks away. For this small town, that means Fall.

An Auburn-Opelika tradition since 1952, the secret recipe for Mrs. Story’s famous homemade chili dogs reminds us that, thankfully, some things never change. Still in its original location on Pepperell Parkway, the owners of this 50s style walkup are the third generation of the Story family to serve the freshest “fast” food in the area. Open Mon-Wed 10am-9pm and Thurs-Sat 10am-10pm.
"World famous lemonade." An original, soda fountain-style diner and drugstore, Toomer’s has been an Auburn tradition for over a century! Located in the heart of downtown Auburn where the city and campus come together, you’ll find delicious sandwiches, soda fountain specialties, and snacks along with a full line of Auburn souvenirs. CAMP - Central Alabama Mountain Pedalers was founded in 2012 by a group of mountain bikers in the Auburn area who recognized the need for more trails and increased awareness for the sport in Central Alabama.
