About the Story: Olivia Turner was pretty, smart, kind, God-fearing and hard working. She was the girl every family hoped their daughters would grow up to be. That is until she made one mistake which would divide a small town and forever change the course of two families.

The Cotton Chronicles Series follows the hard pan lives of two south Alabama families as they navigate the Great Depression. Featuring strong women who succeed in spite of the cultural norms of the times and their ne'er-do-well men, you will cheer for some characters while plotting the demise of others.

Bring a shovel and tissue. You will need both! A Planting Season spans the years 1925 to 1932 and A Growing Season spans 1932 to 1937. The series will continue later this year with the third installment, A Harvest Season. The fourth installment, A Fallow Season will feature stories about the characters when they move to the Auburn and Opelika, Alabama areas.
