Join the folks at Pebble Hill on Wednesday, September 25 at 11:30 a.m. for a brown bag lunch and talk by Emily Blejwas, author of The Story of Alabama in Fourteen Foods. The book explores Alabama's food traditions to reveal histories of the state in new and exciting ways. Emily Blejwas pays homage to fourteen foods, dishes and beverages (one per chapter) as a way of exploring the diverse cultures and traditions of the state.

Emily Blejwas is the director of the Gulf States Health Policy Center in Bayou La Batre, Alabama and has worked in the fields of community development and victim advocacy. She holds degrees from Auburn University and Kenyon College and lives in Mobile, Alabama with her husband and four children.
