Birding is fun and exciting! It can be as relaxing or challenging as you want it to be. And when you start looking for birds, you experience the amazing and exceptional diversity of colors and forms that nature has to offer!

We are all looking for ways to contribute to the protection and conservation of our environment, and there is no better way than to become an eBird user!

eBird and NestWatch, completely free apps designed and managed by Cornell University, are the most important birding tools for both amateurs and experts alike. Join the Kreher Preserve & Nature Center educators and guest instructors for an introduction to these essential tools. You will have the opportunity to install the apps on your mobile device and you’ll learn how to use them, and how they are used to help protect birds and their native habitats around the world!

We’ll also take you on a walk through the woods to seek out birds and nests to put your new skills to use!

This Birding How-to workshop is free and appropriate for all ages – donations are welcomed.
