Pascha Adamo was born and raised in Wheeling, West Virginia, and attended Shepherd University where she earned a BA in Psychology and minored in Child Development. After teaching middle school mathematics in Spanish Harlem, New York and New Jersey, Pascha returned to West Virginia University to earn her Masters in Secondary Education and a BA in Mathematics. Adamo returned to the classroom in Joppa, Maryland, while also teaching Zumba in the evenings and weekends. Adamo has also been a college administrator at Shephered University as an Assistant Director of Student Activities and at WVU as a Residence Hall Director.

?After Adamo's husband received his PhD in Sports and Exercise Psychology, they relocated to Fayetteville, North Carolina. At the time, Sophia was only 6 weeks old and it was here that the idea of creating a book with a biracial character as the central character began.

Adamo is now a full-time, stay-at-home mother of Sophia, now three and a half, and Judah, 1 and a half.  In 2017, her family moved to Seattle, Washington, where she continues to pen stories for the series. She is also a member of Churchome Bothell site, teaches various Zumba formats throughout the week, is an H2O at Home advisor and enjoys cooking and baking for others.
