Each year, the 1072 Society raises funds for a specific area of interest in the museum’s permanent collection, with works considered for purchase exhibited in the annual 1072 Society exhibition. "Vessels and Their Voices: The Legacy of Alabama Pottery" showcases a variety of late 19th- and early 20th-century Southern pottery crafted by artisans in nearby Randolph and Chambers counties, along with the addition of three remarkable vases originating from the Muscle Shoals area and an array of contemporary decorative pieces.
