Getting Under the Surface (GUTS) is a family-fun night where everyone will learn from biologists from Auburn University. At this event, students will be exposed to the diversity of plants through three hands-on activities.
First, students will be able to see different types of flowers and view pollen under a microscope. Second, students will be given a description of the different parts of the flowers and which parts create the foods we eat. Finally, students will extract DNA from a fruit!
Pre-registration is required and can be completed here. The cost is $15 for one child and $25 for two. Parents are required to stay with children throughout the evening.
