The ALSYR Memorial Golf Tournament is held in honor of the 8 precious children who lost their lives in a tragic accident on I-65 in June 2021. Isabella, Ben, Haley, Josiah, Nicholas, Dana, McKenzie, and Tia are greatly missed by their families, friends, and the Ranches. The proceeds from this tournament will go directly to the Alabama Sheriff's Youth Ranches in honor of these children and to continue the important legacy of helping Alabama's children in need.To register your team or sign up to sponsor this event, contact Pat Downing at pat@alsyr.org or (334) 462-0432.
This year's event will be divided into two tournament times, with prizes awarded for each.
Morning tournament:
- Registration and breakfast at 6:30 a.m
- Tee off at 8:00 a.m.
- The awards ceremony and lunch will begin after tournament play
Afternoon tournament:
- Registration and lunch at 11:00 a.m.
- Tee off at 1:00 p.m. Prizes
- Net & Gross Winners: The first-place winning teams will win a spot in the year-end Tournament of Champions in Gulf Shores, AL. Two double-occupancy hotel rooms for 2 nights will be provided for the players of the winning teams.
- Long Drive for Men & for Women - Closest-to-the-Pin on Par 3 Holes - Hole-in-One Prizes on Designated Par 3 Holes- Games, raffles, and giveaways

- $5,000 Titanium Sponsor - Includes two teams, two hole sponsorships, one practice round per team, banner recognition, social media advertising, website advertising, and recognition at awards banquet The event benefits the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches, a 501(c)(3) charity founded by the Sheriffs of Alabama in 1966. This organization provides long-term, loving homes for needy young people across the state of Alabama. They currently operate four Ranches located in Baldwin County, Colbert County, St. Clair County, and Tallapoosa County as well as the Administrative Office in Montgomery.
