About Auburn Oaks

Their historic home was originally located in Opelika, AL. It was once part of the Opelika Pepperell Mill Village which housed employees of the textile mill. The village was constructed between 1925 and 1940. The home was moved to Auburn Oaks in 1993 by the Lowe family. Mr. Lowe enjoyed hunting, clay shooting, and wing shooting. His family built the Lodge House in the front of Auburn Oaks in the 1980s. Auburn Oaks has been a place for friends and family to enjoy the great outdoors since 1985. Coach Pat Dye bought the property from the Lowe family in the mid-1990’s. He brought in several of his well-known maples and oak trees and planted them all over the property. Coach Pat Dye was an avid outdoorsman and would go wing-shooting and deer hunting. He would host the annual Blue Jean Ball at Auburn Oaks along with football-related events and other social gatherings. The property has always been a place for friends, family, and guests to come together to make memories and enjoy the outdoors.
