The Sound Wall is owned by Rob & Jen Slocumb, aka the duo Martha's Trouble.  The couple purchased this historical Victorian home, built in 1907, in February 2016. After completing major renovations to the house, The Sound Wall was established in 2017.

The Sound Wall coproduces the Opelika Songwriters Festival along with offering monthly listening room shows, monthly supper clubs, and audio/video production studio, and a loft apartment to house artists.

Conveniently located in Downtown Historic Opelika, AL - 1.5 hrs from Atlanta, 2 hrs from Birmingham, 45min from Montgomery.

Opelika Songwriters Festival  attracts die-hard live music fans from around the Southeast to hear original songwriters spanning many genres of music perform their songs. Restaurants, bars, a distillery and an Inn in historic downtown Opelika become music listening rooms for two nights and a third day for dozens of solo, band, and in-the-round performances throughout the weekend.

The Sound Wall Music Initiative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Rob & Jen Slocumb is dedicated to promoting and celebrating the art of music in the Auburn/Opelika community. It strives to enhance the lives of our community members through music education, artist development, and funding support for local musicians and schools.
