Admission charged for selected events. The Auburn Softball Complex staff strives to ensure that visitors enjoy the finest championship playing facilities. Built in 1992 by the City of Auburn, the complex was an effort to provide citizens within the community a state-of-the-art recreational facility for softball.. A strong emphasis is placed on expert organization and genuine Southern hospitality. The Auburn Softball Complex has been recognized as one of the premier complexes in the nation by USA Softball magazine and has been awarded the ISA & Alabama ASA Complex of the Year award numerous times since its inception. Since its opening in 1993, the Complex has hosted 18 ASA National Championships and 10 ISA World Championships. In addition to these events, the complex regularly hosts a number of local leagues and has been the site for many districts, sub-states, and state tournaments. The Complex was also the home of the 1997 and 1998 Auburn University Women’s Fast Pitch team and hosted a number of SEC games. The Complex boasts a three-story control building that is surrounded by five fields that feature Bermuda grass outfields, 300-foot fences, skinned infields and Hollywood bases. In addition, each field is equipped with a warning track, championship lighting and a public address system. All dugouts are covered and feature phones to the press box. The control building is complete with restrooms, full concessions, a conference room, rest area for umpires, scorekeeper booths, and press box capabilities.
