There are some pretty beautiful sunsets in Auburn-Opelika. We've compiled a list of the best spots to check out with your best friend, your sweetheart, or anyone else you think would enjoy a beautiful view!

Railroad Avenue

Headed to downtown Opelika to eat? Just spent a fun night at one of the breweries or the distillery? Take a second to enjoy a beautiful sunset by the tracks before you make your way home! Those deep hues just look better in our quiet little railroad town.

Courthouse Square

Take a romantic (or platonic) stroll by the fountain in Courthouse Square and watch the sun go down! The square is a perfect space to sit and observe the beauty of nature, whether you're flying solo or with someone you love.

Chewacla State Park

Feeling like a sunset hike? There's no better place than Chewacla! Bring your best furry friends and relax as the sun goes down over one of the most beautiful nature scenes in the state.

Samford Lawn

If you haven't taken a sunset Instagram picture on Samford Lawn...what are you even doing? Your heart will swell with Auburn pride as you gaze on the beautifully painted sky behind historic Samford Hall.

Sundown Concert Series at Town Creek Park

If you're looking for something to do on Thursday nights, look no further than the Sundown Concert Series at Town Creek! It takes place every Thursday in October and May and is completely free. There are even free inflatables for kids and yummy concessions! And the biggest plus: leashed dogs are more than welcome.

Jordan-Hare Stadium

There's not much that can make an Auburn football game better: except a beautiful sunset over Jordan-Hare Stadium. The sky truly seems to bleed orange and blue in the best stadium in the country (and, dare we say, the world).

The Wittel Rooftop Bar at the Collegiate Hotel

Located on the roof of the esteemed Collegiate Hotel, the Wittel Rooftap Bar offers some of the best views in Auburn that are only made better with a beautiful sunset. And that's not even taking into account the yummy cocktails you can sip on while you watch! It's the perfect spot to do some sunset gazing with your favorite people.

Auburn University Regional Airport

Ever wanted to watch planes fly off into the sunset? At the AUO Airport, you can! The building has an upstairs balcony open to the public that overlooks the airfield. It's the perfect place for a romantic sunset-watching date with your better half or a fun outing for you and your friends.

The Opelika Water Tower

No, you can't climb the tower (don't get us in trouble); but you can grab your friends and go watch the sun set behind it! It's the perfect backdrop for a cozy evening (and, let's be real, your Instagram pictures).

The Big Red Barn at Ag Heritage Park

Want to enjoy a beautiful sunset with your best buddy? Take them to the Red Barn! While they run and play in the pond, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset spectacle over one of Auburn's most-loved landmarks.
