The fourth annual “Krewe Krawl” and Mardi Gras parade will take place on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.. The parade is organized by Krewe de Tigris and hosted by the Auburn Downtown Merchants Association. This year’s parade is dubbed “Mardi Gras and All that Jazz.”

New for 2020, the parade route has been reversed. The parade will begin at West Thatch Avenue off of Donahue Drive and travel east to Gay Street, north to Tichenor Avenue, west to College Street and south through Toomers Corner back to Thatch Avenue.

Participants in the parade will include floats, marching units, dignitaries, organizations and families. The event will also feature Krewe de Tigris’s newest Mardi Gras King and Queen, Matt Peck and Mary Kate Hughes. The event is free and open to the public.

All members of the public are welcome and encourage to participate in the parade. However, those interested should be sure to fill out an application and liability form by Jan. 22. Applications and forms can be found here.

In conjunction with the parade, the Auburn Downtown Merchants Association will be hosting the “Krewe Krawl” in downtown Auburn. Guests who purchase a wristband for this event can enjoy special discounts at select boutiques and bars downtown. All proceeds benefit the Downtown Merchants Association to fund future events.
