The Tony Award-winning“Waitress” is coming to the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center on Feb. 25 and 26, 2020. Both shows will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the 2007 film starring Kerri Russel, “Waitress” is the story of Jenna Hunterson, a small-town pie maker who dreams of opening her own bakery. When a pie-making contest with a large cash prize comes to town, she finally has the chance to follow this dream—but an unexpected journey of motherhood and a budding romance with the new town doctor complicate things. In this heartwarming story of bravery, Jenna must learn how to rebuild her own life with the help of her friends and loved ones.

“Waitress” was nominated for four Tony Awards in 2016. The show also features original music and lyrics by seven-time Grammy Awards nominee Sara Bareilles, a book by acclaimed screenwriter Jessie Nelson and direction by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus.
