Gobble 'til you Wobble & let our Chefs Handle the Turkey

Nobody wants to be cooped up in the kitchen for days when you could let the talented chefs at Ariccia Cucina or the Marriott Resort prepare a Thanksgiving meal for you! Here's what the pros are cooking and quick-access links so you can stay ahead of this crazy foodie holiday. Who's hungry?

 

Ariccia Cucina's Thanksgiving Buffet

Enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving Buffet for lunch or dinner at Ariccia Cucina. There will be a salad station with mixed greens, arugula, romaine, salad toppings, and a variety of five dressings. The main dishes are Apple spice brine turkey, smoked porchetta, and prime rib w au jus and horseradish cream. The sides will consist of a plethora of vegetables, casseroles, potatoes, and more! There will be Yukon gold mashed potatoes, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, white truffle mac and cheese, collard greens, Ariccia's shrimp capellini, cornbread muffins, giblet gravy, butternut squash bisque, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, deviled egg potato salad, marinated veggies, and roasted root veggies. 

The cost is $65 for adults, $30 for kids ages 6 to 12, and free for children five and under. The lunch buffet will be served from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and dinner will be from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m.   

 

The Marriott Resort Thanksgiving Buffet

The chefs at the Auburn/Opelika Marriott Resort are preparing an extensive Thanksgiving Buffet on Nov. 24 filled with your holiday favorites.

Start with a selection of salads. Visit the carving station for ham and prime rib before heading over to the hot selection station for turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, and other favorites. Save room for sweet potato white chocolate bread pudding, double chocolate brownie, and pecan pie with whiskey sauce.

Seatings are at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. The cost is $69 per person, $35 for children 7 to 12, and free for children six and under. Tax and gratuity are not included. Call 334.737.2187 for reservations. 

 

1856 - Culinary Residence

A roof-to-table experience, 1856 – Culinary Residence’s menu is shaped by the produce grown on the rooftop garden of the Rane Culinary Science Center. Seasonally inspired and rotating often, the menu is set by our Chef In Residence and executed by our culinary team and students. 

1856 will be offering a tasting menu from 2 p.m. - 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The menu consists of a mini chicken pot pie, pasta, and duck with brussel sprouts, candied yam, and cranberries. Each of these bites have additional beverage pairings. For dessert enjoy buttermilk pie and petit fours.

The cost is $120 per person with a beverage pairing at an additional charge of $80 per person. Pick it up and take it home! Order everything you need for a delicious holiday feast from our amazing chefs. 

 

 

Lucy's

Lucy's Thanksgiving feast includes a citrus herb roasted turkey breast, roasted brussel sprout and quinoa salad, Hasselback sweet potatoes, pancetta & leek stuffing, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, artisan breads, and a cookie butter cheesecake.  The feast feeds 6-8 people and is $295.

Need more food or don't want that much food? No worries! Lucy's is also offering a la carte sides and add-ons. Each item of the Thanksgiving Feast is offered individually plus a lavender & black pepper-crusted prime rib, lucy's pimento cheese, The Farmer's Daughter platter, and roasted root vegetable hash.

The deadline to order is November 17 and pick-up is the day before Thanksgiving. Order online here!

 

The Hound

The Hound's Thanksgiving feast will include an herb-roasted heritage turkey, cornbread dressing with country sausage, classic green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, giblet gravy, and your choice of a starch, vegetable, bread, and dessert selection. The feast serves 6-8 people and is $275. A la carte options vary.

The starch options are a sweet potato casserole with toasted marshmallows and toasted pecans or roasted garlic-whipped Yukon gold potatoes. The vegetable options are charred brussel sprouts with smoked bacon lardons & caramelized onions or honey & dill glazed carrots. The bread options are jalapeno-cheddar cornbread or buttermilk biscuits. And finally, the dessert options are the Hound's bread pudding, bourbon pecan pie, or sweet potato pie. 

If you're undecided and can't just pick one, pick them all! All vegetables, potato options, bread, desserts, and food served in the feast, are available a la carte for your optimal meal. 

Pick-up is on Thanksgiving Day, (Thursday, Nov. 24th), from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at The Hound. Please email ops@thehound-auburn.com if you need an adjustment to the pick-up time. Order online here!

 

Pannie-George's Kitchen

For a more traditional Thanksgiving feast, check out Pannie George's Kitchen. They are offering 3 separate forms: 8-10 person meal bundles, 13-25 person meal bundles, and an individual food item form. 

You will be able to choose one meat, two vegetables, and one dessert. The meat options are roasted turkey, baked ham, and baked chicken. The vegetable options are dressing, collard greens, macaroni & cheese, purple hull peas, candied yams, and green beans. The dessert options are strawberry shortcake, red velvet cake, cream cheese poundcake, Butterfinger cake, lemon pie, pecan pie, and sweet potato pie. 

All orders must be picked up Wednesday, November 23, from 10:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. You will be prompted to choose your pick-up time when filling out the order form.  The final day to place an order is Monday, November 14, at 7:00 p.m. Order online here!
