Get involved and become a Volunteer AO team member!

Want to do something worthwhile to make a difference in your community? Auburn-Opelika Tourism offers area residents wide-ranging opportunities to share their hometown hospitality and enhance both leisure and business visitors’ experiences through its volunteer program, known as Volunteer AO. These opportunities are also available for anyone who frequently visits our community. We believe strongly that volunteers make the world go ‘round!

About Volunteer AO

Volunteer AO is a community host program made up of local citizens dedicated to assisting events coordinated by Auburn-Opelika Tourism and its many community partners. Volunteer for just one event per year or at multiple events throughout the year, whatever your schedule allows. As a Volunteer AO member, you can choose to help during a meeting or convention that is taking place in the city. If your passion is for community events or sporting events,  we have plenty of those volunteer opportunities available as well.

Why Volunteer AO

Auburn-Opelika Tourism works to bring in events to generate money for our local economy, but for these events to be truly successful they need a team of local citizens to volunteer their time and talents. Our southern hospitality is one of the things that sets our community apart for visitors, convention delegates, and event managers, and our role in making their event hassle-free will keep them coming back.

How can you make an impact? Advocate for your hometown as a Volunteer AO team member to welcome and show visitors our greatest attribute, our hospitality. We encourage you to be a part of the impact we create for our community by becoming a Volunteer AO team member!
