Homecoming Week is right around the corner and that means there is a lot to do in Auburn-Opelika! Check out these AUsome events that surround the Auburn vs. Samford game coming up on Saturday, September 16, War Eagle!

THURSDAY, SEPT. 14

Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan Grits and Glamour Tour | 7 p.m. | Gogue Performing Center 

Kick-off Homecoming Weekend at the Gogue Performing Arts Center. Pam Tillis and Lorrie Morgan are incredibly talented. They have recorded 28 top-10 hits, sold more than 18 million records, and charted 12 number-one songs. They boast numerous Grammys, CMA Awards, movie credits, television appearances, and Broadway performances, and have rocked arenas, helmed world-class symphonies, and toured on almost every continent—and they can still sell out shows, turn heads, and make hearts beat fast after four decades. And, they are coming, right here, to Auburn-Opelika.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 15

Football, Fans and Feathers | 4-5 p.m. | Southeastern Raptor Center

Watch in wonder the Friday before every home game as hawks, falcons, eagles and other birds of prey are free-flown from towers and around the amphitheater, enabling visitors to see these raptors flying close. This educational presentation is appropriate for all ages. The hour-long program begins at 4 p.m. at the 350-seat Edgar B. Carter Educational Amphitheater, located at 1350 Pratt-Carden Drive off Shug Jordan Parkway. Tickets are $8 per person and may be purchased upon entry or in advance here. There is no charge for children ages three and under. This is a cashless event. Only checks or cards can be accepted.

 

Jordan-Hare Stadium Locker Room Tours | 4-6 p.m. | Jordan-Hare Stadium

Come experience the pre-game locker room setup for the Auburn football team at Jordan Hare-Stadium on Fridays prior to each home game. Tours are free and open to the public. Please enter at Gate 10 through the Jane and Mike McCartney Brick Plaza.

Homecoming Parade & Pep Rally | 6-7 p.m. | Downtown Auburn 

The annual Homecoming Parade allows the Auburn community to celebrate alumni returning home and to build spirit for the Homecoming football game the next day. The parade will feature floats from on and off-campus organizations, the Auburn University Cheerleaders, the Tiger Paws, and the Auburn University Marching Band. The parade begins at 6 p.m. on September 15, completing a short loop around downtown Auburn before concluding with a pep rally around 6:30 p.m. on Samford Lawn. The best location to view the parade is on College Street in front of Samford Hall.

Come Home to the Corner | 6-9 p.m. | Downtown Auburn

After enjoying the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally, stick around downtown Auburn for live music from local cover band the Front 7! This is an entertainment district event.

 

SATURDAY, SEPT. 16

 Auburn University Parent & Family Association Tailgate | Cater Lawn

The Auburn University Parent & Family Association will host the largest tailgate on campus for the Homecoming game versus Samford. Guests are required to register in advance of attendance. Tickets are $30 per student and $5 per student, you can purchase tickets here. There will be live music, tailgate games, food, and an opportunity to engage with everyone’s favorite mascot, Aubie the Tiger. Tailgate will start three hours before kickoff and end one hour prior to kickoff.

Tiger Walk | Donahue Drive

The Tigers walk from the Athletics Complex down Donahue Drive to Jordan-Hare Stadium each game day. The team doesn't make the walk alone, however; instead, they are cheered on by the thousands of Auburn fans who line the street and, in the process, create one of the greatest scenes in college football. Don’t miss out on your chance to cheer on the Tigers before each game!

SUNDAY, SEPT. 17

Brunch & Browse | 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. | Downtown Auburn

Join the downtown merchants for Brunch and Browse on September 17 to cap off Auburn's homecoming weekend! Enjoy extended shopping hours, merchant specials, and more. Participating retailers and restaurants will each offer their own individual specials. Those specials will be posted below prior to the event.  

Honors College Induction & Pinning Ceremony | 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. | Neville Arena

The Honors College Induction and pinning ceremony is the official welcoming event for our incoming Honors class. Here students receive their Honors pin  - a symbol of the beginning of their Honors and Auburn journey. Honors College students are responsible for registering themselves and their guests.
