A-Day Weekend is right around the corner and that means there is a lot to do in Auburn-Opelika! Check out these AUsome events that surround the A-Day game coming up on Saturday, April 6. War Eagle!
FRIDAY
Start the game day weekend off and get your Auburn Spirit going by watching the AU Softball team take on Louisiana Tech at 2 p.m. and Georgia Tech at 5 p.m. in Jane B Moore Field. Tickets can be purchased here.
Game, set, match! Join the Auburn Men's tennis team at the Yarbrough Tennis Center and witness a matchup against Alabama. This event is free and open to the public.
Wing Fling | 4 p.m. | Auburn Raptor Center
One of Auburn's most popular programs - The Wing Fling - offers fans the opportunity to see a raptor show where they will experience birds of prey eye-to-eye and watch as they swoop overhead. This educational presentation is appropriate for all ages. Tickets can be purchased in advance.
Batter up! Catch the excitement as the Auburn Tigers face off against Tennessee in this three-part series. Grab some peanuts and cracker jacks and cheer on your favorite team at Plainsman Park for an unforgettable A-Day weekend experience! Purchase tickets here!
Enjoy the final presentation of the Gogue Performing Arts Center's 2023-2024 Orchestra & Chamber Music Series. Simone Dinerstein, acclaimed pianist will perform with Baroklyn, a newly formed chamber ensemble Dinerstein founded and directs.
Sundilla introduces another award-winning young performer to Auburn, Sam Robbins to the stage. Advance tickets are $20 and can be found at Spicer’s Music, Ross House Coffee, Foodies, and online. Admission at the door will be $25 and $15 for students with an ID. Children ages 12 and under are free. Free coffee, tea, water, and food will be available, and the audience is invited to bring their own favorite food or beverage.
SATURDAY
VetFest | 9 a.m. | Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine
The Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine is excited to announce that after a four-year hiatus, they are finally ready to invite the community back to campus for VetFest! Featured activities will include a canine parade of breeds, painted horses, teddy bear surgery, the Auburn Raptor Center, student club exhibits, and much more. This event is free and open to the public.
Tiger Trail Induction Ceremony | 9 a.m. | Auburn Athletics Complex
When a new class of honorees is inducted into the Tiger Trail, the Auburn Chamber hosts the Tiger Trail induction ceremony. Each inductee is honored with an engraved granite plaque to be placed in the sidewalks of downtown Auburn among the plaques of other Auburn greats.
Tiger Walk | 11:45 a.m.
Each game day, including A-Day, the Tigers walk from the Athletics Complex down Donahue Drive to Jordan-Hare Stadium. The team doesn't make the walk alone, however; instead, they are cheered on by the thousands of Auburn fans who line the street and, in the process, create one of the greatest scenes in college football. Don’t miss out on your chance to cheer on the Tigers before each game!
On Tap is an annual downtown Opelika beer tasting trail. Located along 1st Avenue, On Tap will feature over 30 craft breweries from across the country. Tickets will include up to 50 beer tastings and a souvenir Opelika Main Street On Tap beer glass. Buy your tickets here!
Plan your spring game festivities accordingly, Auburn fans, the moment you have all been waiting for, the A-Day game will kick off at 1:00 p.m. This is the first opportunity fans will have to get a look at the 2024 football team! Tickets for the scrimmage can be purchased here.
Swing into Saturday with some fast-paced softball action! Head to Jane B. Moore Field as the Auburn Softball team faces off against Louisiana Tech at 1 p.m. and Georgia Tech at 4 p.m.
Round two of baseball madness! Gather your crew and head over to Plainsman Park as the AU Baseball team takes on Tennesse. With the sun shining and the crowd roaring, it's bound to be a game day to remember!
SUNDAY
Start your Sunday off right with some top-notch tennis action! Head over to the Yarbrough Tennis Center and witness the Auburn Tennis team face off against Mississippi State. Whether you're a seasoned fan or new to the sport, you won't want to miss this exciting match-up!
Wrap up your A-Day weekend with a grand slam at Plainsman Park! Join for the final showdown as the Auburn Tigers go head-to-head on the diamond. Don't miss your chance to witness the conclusion of an epic weekend of baseball action!
