Please ensure that your seat backs and tray tables are in their full upright positions and your seatbelts are securely fastened…Girls in Aviation Day is about to depart! Join the War Eagle Chapter of Women in Aviation on Saturday, October 6, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Auburn University Regional Airport.

While flights often require connecting flights, this event is designed to connect girls and women who are excited about aviation. Girls in Aviation Day will include kids activities, interactive booths, and opportunities to learn more about the aviation and aerospace industry.

Activities include airplane tours, airline marketing, a weather station, a scavenger hunt, an aircraft maintenance station, and more.

Auburn University is committed to developing the next generation of pilots. Recently, Delta Airline selected Auburn University, and eight other colleges, to launch the Delta Propel Pilot Career Path Program. The program offers students three career routes and opportunities to quickly find a position through Delta.

The objective of Women in Aviation is to promote aviation to the local community and inspire younger generations of potential aviators. This co-ed organization is under the umbrella of Women in Aviation International.  The War Eagle chapter at Auburn was re-established in the spring of 2016.
