About Off The Beaten Path Alabama

Off The Beaten Path Alabama is a kayak & canoe outfitter that also offers shuttle services to waterways in east central Alabama. It began in spring of 2016 by retired Lee County Extension Agent Chuck Browne. Chuck has floated the creeks, rivers and waterways of Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina for the last 40 years. His 3 sons Trevor, Vincent and Charles are all experienced paddlers and can serve as trip guides at the customers request.

Our goal is to provide enjoyable memorable trips to more remote, less commercialized waterways.  Most of our runs can be experienced at a leisurely pace.  We strive to customize each trip to the requests and skill levels of the group or individuals involved.

Operating Schedule:

March 31st through October 31st
Memorial Day, 4th of July, & Labor Day!
Everyday 8 am - 5pm

Single Person Kayak
1 Day Rental: $30
2 Day Rental: $50

Canoes
1 Day Rental: $50
2 Day Rental: $85

Guide Services for a full day on the water (estimated 8-9 hours): $100

Shuttle Services provided for a fee.  Call for estimate.
