Football, Fans and Feathers

Football, Fans and Feathers is one of Auburn’s most popular fall programs. Hosted by the Auburn University Raptor Center, the show gives visitors a chance to see birds of prey like hawks, falcons, eagles, and owls flying just overhead in an exciting, hour-long presentation.

During the show, these raptors are free-flown from towers and across the amphitheater, offering a close-up look at their natural flight. Each program is different and features a unique mix of species. Along the way, guests learn about natural history, wildlife conservation, and the rehabilitation work done by the Raptor Center. The presentation is educational, family-friendly, and designed for all ages.

All birds featured are permanent residents of the Auburn University Raptor Center. They are non-releasable due to past injuries or human imprinting. The center is a division of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine and plays an important role in education and outreach.
