AUBURN-OPELIKA, Ala. — Registration for the 2027 War Eagle Run Fest is now open. The event takes place Saturday, February 20, through Sunday, February 21, 2027 and features a 5K, Half Marathon and Kids Mile, with participants finishing inside Jordan-Hare Stadium. War Eagle Run Fest is one of Alabama’s largest and most celebrated running events and was named the best half marathon in Alabama by RaceRaves in 2026.
Runners looking for an added challenge can participate in the Weagle Weagle Challenge, completing the 5K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday to earn additional race hardware. With a variety of distances and a family-friendly atmosphere, War Eagle Run Fest welcomes both returning participants and first-time runners. The event offers a unique opportunity to experience Auburn while taking part in a weekend of fitness, community and school spirit.
New this year, the Chamber Challenge invites members of the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce to build teams for the War Eagle Run Fest 5K and compete for company awards while supporting the charitable efforts of both Chambers.
