Held inside the Auburn-Opelika Art Showcase, the market brings together approximately 40 local and regional artisans offering handmade gifts, original artwork, and one-of-a-kind creations just in time for Christmas.
From paintings and pottery to handcrafted jewelry, ornaments, candles, stained glass, and wooden goods, the Merry Art Market makes it easy to find thoughtful gifts while supporting talented artists and makers.

Supporting Local Artists, One Gift at a Time
The Merry Art Market is an extension of the Auburn-Opelika Art Showcase, a year-round gallery located inside Auburn-Opelika Tourism's downtown Auburn office. The showcase provides local artists with a welcoming space to display and sell their work. Auburn-Opelika Tourism does not collect a commission on artwork sales, allowing 100% of proceeds to go directly to the artists. During the Merry Art Market, that commitment to local creativity extends beyond the gallery walls to include additional artisans and makers offering a wider selection of handcrafted gifts.

Plan Your Holiday Shopping Visit
Located in downtown Auburn, the Merry Art Market is an easy stop during a lunch break, an afternoon of shopping, or a holiday visit to Auburn-Opelika. The market is open during regular weekday office hours, giving shoppers five days to browse. Admission is free, and visitors are welcome to return throughout the week as they finish their Christmas shopping.
