Through home-cooked breakfast from the heart, offering a pet friendly room, and carefully-curated decor, owners Leif Espelund and Dani Nelson proudly cultivate a warm and welcoming atmosphere in every single detail of your stay.

Espelund and Nelson purchased Heritage House in January 2020, moving from Seattle, Washington to Opelika. Defying odds during the pandemic, their passion and hard work proved successful with countless satisfied guests. 

“It was what we were looking for,” said Nelson. 

Built in 1913, Heritage House doubles as a whimsical bed and breakfast and event venue with a rich history. Each room at Heritage House tells its own story, transporting guests to a different time.
