Whether you're practicing for your next bowhunting season or trying archery for the first time, the Opelika Community Archery Park offers a one-of-a-kind outdoor experience. Located inside scenic Spring Villa Park, this facility is open to the public, free of charge, and equipped for both recreational and competitive shooting.
Park Features
With its unique layout, peaceful setting, and free public access, the park attracts everyone from casual weekend visitors to serious bowhunters. It’s an ideal spot to hone your skills, challenge your accuracy, and enjoy the outdoors, all just minutes from downtown Opelika.
Elevated Platform
One of the park’s standout features is its elevated shooting platform, designed to help bowhunters safely simulate tree stand conditions.
Main Range
The main range includes 12 covered shooting bays with targets from 20 to 60 yards, perfect for both beginners and experienced archers.
3D Targets
The park features three 20-lane 3D archery courses with lifelike targets, offering 60 total shot opportunities for realistic practice.
Hours
The Opelika Community Archery Park is open year-round from 7 a.m. until dark.
Know Before You Go
Rules (At a Glance)
Use field or target points only. Shoot from marked lines into designated targets. No alcohol. Keep bows behind the line when not in use. Harness required on elevated platform. Clean up all trash. Follow all posted rules.
License Requirements
All visitors must have a valid Alabama Hunting, Fishing, or Wildlife Heritage License to use the range. Get a License: Buy online at Outdoor Alabama, call 888-848-6887, or visit a probate office or local sporting goods store.
