Just a short drive from Auburn and Opelika, the Old 280 Boogie began in 2001 as a street party celebrating the rerouting of Highway 280 around Waverly, Alabama. Over 25 years, it has evolved into a beloved annual tradition, attracting artists and patrons from around the country to rural Alabama.
The artistic grounds of Standard Deluxe are filled with activity while also offering a peaceful retreat. At the foot of a wide, grassy lawn stands the iconic Outdoor Stage, constructed from found objects and vintage Southern signs. This backdrop anchors the festival’s unmistakable sense of place. Talented musicians perform while guest artisans and food vendors enhance the festive atmosphere.
