Burger Wars & Touch-A-Truck Return to Downtown Opelika for a Full Day of Family Fun

June 6, 2026 - Spend the day in Downtown Opelika on June 6 for two of the community’s favorite events happening side-by-side: Burger Wars and Touch-A-Truck! Beginning at 9:00 a.m., families can explore fire trucks, construction equipment, emergency vehicles, vintage classics, and more during Touch-A-Truck, a free hands-on experience celebrating “America 250” and the machines that have helped shape the country over the last 250 years. New this year, a Sensory-Friendly Hour from 9:00–10:00 a.m. will feature no sirens, flashing lights, or horns for children who prefer a quieter environment. Learn more about Touch-a-Truck here. 

Then beginning at 11:00 a.m., the 12th Annual Burger Wars fires up across downtown Opelika as restaurants, businesses, and backyard grill masters battle for burger glory. Attendees can sample creative burger creations, vote for Crowd Favorite winners, and enjoy a lively atmosphere filled with food, friendly competition, and community spirit.
